Pastor H. Wesley Boyer, age 84 of East Earl, PA, passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital on Monday, November 13, 2023. He was the loving husband of Lois A. Denlinger Boyer with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage on October 10th. He was born in Coatesville, son of the late Harold W. Sr. & Mildred Wise Boyer. He was a member of Conestoga Mennonite Church. Early in his working career he worked as a painter for Leroy Lapp and then went into ministry pastoring at Providence Mennonite Church of Newport News, VA, Media Mennonite Church of Oxford, Vincent Mennonite Church of Spring City, 2 years with EMM to Africa as Host and Hostess with his wife, Interim Pastor at Cedar Grove Mennonite Church of Green Castle, and then back to Vincent Mennonite Church retiring in 2008. After retiring he provided transportation to the Amish community. He enjoyed playing golf and sports. Surviving besides his wife are 4 children: Judy E. Crews of Millersville, Jean Louise wife of Kenneth Horning of Leesport, PA, Daniel J. husband of Vanessa King Boyer of East Earl, Joyce R. wife of Timothy Mast of Stevens, PA, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 siblings: Romaine Martin of Clay, PA, Edward Boyer of Coatesville, 8 foster siblings: Vernon King of Texas, Brenda Colon of Lititz, Eva Glasco of Clearwater, FL, Jean Battig of Rohrerstown, PA, Edith Crist of York, Ann wife of Joe Ranck of Rohrerstown, PA, Brenda wife of Dominick Tomassitt of Gap, Sue wife of Jeff Dertzler of Strasburg. He was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Boyer and a foster brother Sanford King.
A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date.
