Norman H. Griest Sr., 82, of West Grove PA, passed away on November 25, 2015.He was the husband of Emma Livingston Griest.They had celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Norman had retired as an automaker at the Chrysler Automotive Plant, Newark, DE.He was a member of U.A.W. Local 1183.He had also served proudly in the US Army during the Korean War.
Born in Fulton Twp. PA, a son of the late Harvey C. and J. Pearl Ritchie Griest, Sr.
Norman enjoyed working on cars and going to the mountains in Huntington Co., PA.
In addition to his wife Emma, he is survived by 3 daughters, Vicky Moore, Cathy Leonard, Diane Hughes, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren: siblings, Gladys Hoopes, Shirley Benner, and Willis Griest.He was predeceased by a son Norman H. Griest, Jr.
A memorial service will be at Wakefield Bible Church, 2310 Robert Fulton Highway, Peach Bottom, PA on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM.A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.Family will also greet friends at a reception to follow the service at the Robert Fulton Fire Company.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.Arrangements entrusted to Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA.www.reynoldsfuenralhome.net
