Obituary

Nancy Suzanne "Susie" Hershey, age 82, of Narvon, PA, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025.  She was the wife of the late Jay Paul Hershey who passed away on November 2, 1996.  She was born in Coatesville, daughter of the late Jacob Paul & Margaret Virginia Propst Boohar.  She graduated from Octorara High School class of 1962.  In the past she had worked at Pepperidge Farm, Plain & Fancy and for Robert Tindall Horse Farm.  She enjoyed quilting, reading and doing puzzles.  Surviving are 2 daughters:  Teresa L. "Tess" wife of R. Bruce Eby of Narvon, Hope M. wife of Michael G. Gatto of New Holland, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 siblings:  Donald L. husband of Shirley Wilmont Boohar of Modena, Kathleen V. Boohar of Kinzers.  She was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey P. Hershey, 4 siblings:  Barbara Ann Reeder, Jacob H., Walter C. & Richard P. Boohar.

Funeral service will take place from the Hershey Mennonite Church, 401 Hershey Church Road, Kinzers, PA, on Saturday, October 4th at 11 a.m., with Pastor Chris Smeltz officiating.  Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.  There will be a viewing at Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. and again at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Susie's honor to GiGi's Playhouse, 2501 Oregon Pike, Suite 101, Lancaster, PA 17601.
