Melissa V. Kipphorn

Melissa V. Kipphorn, 47, of Holtwood PA, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, August 4, 2019.She was the wife of Harold A. "Butch" Kipphorn, Jr. They had celebrated 27 years of marriage.Born in Baltimore, MD, Melissa was a daughter of the late Lacy and Evelyn Sayers Blevins.
Melissa was a real people person; however, she also loved her animals, and had volunteered at ORCA.She had been employed at Giant, Willow Street, PA.She was a member of the Lancaster County Sportsman Association.
She is survived by her husband Harold, "Butch", 2 daughters, Kym Kipphorn, Holtwood, Brandy Mitchell (David), Holtwood; "adopted" daughter Jessica Shepherd and her son Zane, and a brother Thomas Shaw (Amanda), nephews, Timothy and Brandon, of Hagerstown, MD.She was predeceased by a brother Richard "Roo" Shaw Blevins.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Bethesda United Methodist Church, Hilldale Road, Holtwood, PA on Friday, August 16, 2019, at 8:00 PM.There will be a time to visit with family on Friday from 6-8 PM.
