Mary Ellen Straub

Mary Ellen Haas Straub, 83, of New Providence PA, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of Scott Dale Straub.They had celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Mary Ellen was born in South Williamsport PA, a daughter of the late Charlesand GertrudeTobin Haas.
An avid genealogist, she had documented her family on both sides.She enjoyed clipping coupons, and sending cards to friends and family for all of the special occasions.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons,Jeffrey David Straub, Frankford, DE., Dr. (PhD) Christopher Sean (Kristen Bjornson) Straub, Boston, MA, 3 grandchildren, Natalie, Julia, Allison, brother, George D. Haas (Genevieve), Stone Ridge, NY, and her sister in law, Dolores June Haas, South Williamsport, PA.She was predeceased by a son, Dale Eugene Straub.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 7:30 PM.There will be a visitation Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30 PM.Entombment and committal service will be in the Wildwood Cemetery, 1151 Cemetery Street, Williamsport, PA. on Thursday at 11:00 A.M.
