Mary
Fisher
September 1, 1931 – December 22, 2025
Early on the morning of December 22, 2025, Jesus welcomed Mary King Fisher into Heaven. She was born on September 1, 1931 to Christian and Lydia King. She was married to Elmer Fisher for 62 years. They raised 5 daughters; Lydia (Paul) Lantz, Lena (Leon) Miller, Linda (Jack) Stoner, Esther (Lynn) Kachel Sollenberger, Marlene (Rick) Martin. Mary's faith in Jesus stayed steady and strong through the loss of Lena in 1999, Esther's husband Tom in 2010, and her husband Elmer in 2015. She had 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She loved them all so well and prayed for them every day. She is also survived by 2 siblings, Amos King and Esther Courtney. Always smiling, always gracious, Mary was a beautiful example of living for God. She loved to sing, write in her perfect penmanship, and go to Sewing Circle at Willow Street Mennonite Church, where she and Elmer were members for many years. She was preceded in death by 5 siblings, Fannie Glick, Jonathan, Melvin, Reuben and Samuel King.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, December 26th, at Reynolds & Shivery Funeral Home 144 East State Street, Quarryville from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Funeral service and interment will be private.
