Marlin "Toad" Herman

Marlin '"Toad" F. Herman, age 82, passed away at his home in New Providence on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 with his family by his side.  He was the husband of Belinda G. Gaskin Herman, with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage with on February 24th.  He was born in Lancaster, son of the late Mahlon Herman and Merie Findley Young.  He was a truck driver for Charles Chip for 28 years, then S&H Express. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as riding motorcycle, his 49 Ford pick-up and working in his yard.  Surviving besides his wife are 2 children:  Linda J. wife of John Brooks, Paul F. husband of Deserie Slesser Herman both of New Providence, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 siblings:  his twin Marlene wife of Ray Bowman of Lititz and Glen husband of Laverne Herman of California.  He was preceded in death by a brother Mahlon Herman.  A private family burial will take place at the Conestoga Memorial Park.  Arrangements by the Reynolds & Shivery Funeral Home, Quarryville. reynoldsandshivery.com
