Marlene "Mar" J. Sejuste

Marlene "Mar" J. Petersheim Sejuste, age 50, of Gap, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Fritz Sejuste.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of John and Lena Smucker Petersheim. She was a member of Waypoint Church of Lancaster, where she was part of a small group. Marlene was a dedicated mother and homeschool teacher. She cherished her husband and children and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved people, the beach, traveling, adventuring with her daughters, watching her son's basketball games, and serving others. She served as a missionary in Haiti when she was 18 and fell in love with the country. She was a second grandmother to her nieces and nephews, who called her "Aunt Moe." She was a pillar for her family and brought everyone together with her love for life. Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her three children: Giovanni, Keana, and Sophia Sejuste, all at home; and six siblings: Christopher L., husband of Darlene Flaud Petersheim of VA; Richard N., husband of Marla Lantz Petersheim of Quarryville; Wayne D., husband of Lydia Lantz Petersheim of Atglen; Juanita F., wife of Payis Celine of Gap; Evelyn R., wife of Brandon Reitzel of Gap; and Bethany F., wife of Daniel Stoltzfus of Gordonville.

A funeral service will take place at Keystone Church, 20 Harristown Rd, Paradise, PA 17562, on Monday, February 23, at 10 a.m. Pastors John Chappell and Ben Fisher will officiate. There will also be a viewing on Sunday, February 22, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m at Keystone Church.  Interment will be in Calvary Monument Cemetery.
