Marian E. Hertz

Marian E. Hertz, 76, of Dennis Drive New Providence, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness.
She and her husband, Raymond C. Hertz would have celebrated 58 years of marriage on September 20, 2016.Born in Holtwood, she was the daughter of the late J. Edward and Jessie Wood Kauffman.
A homemaker, Marian enjoyed cooking, baking, flowers, bird watching and feeding, playing pinochle with friends, and NASCAR, especially Jimmy Johnson.
She was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, and was a former member and billing secretary for the Providence Township Ambulance Association.
Surviving beside her husband are twin sons, Raymond C. Hertz, Jr. of New Providence, Rodney C. Hertz of Lancaster; a daughter Ramona (Daniel) Bowers of Willow Street; 3 grandchildren, Zachary, Seth, Haley; 2 great granddaughters, Layla and Scarlett; 3 brothers, Donald (Linda) Kauffman of Pequea, Robert (Billie) Althouse of Holtwood, Richard (Millie) Kauffman of Manheim; a sister Joyce Wood of Drumore.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Paul and James Althouse, and a grandson Dakota Smith
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 11:00AM with Pastor R. Blake Deibler officiating.Interment will follow in Bethesda United Methodist Cemetery.Viewings will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00-8:00PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00AM until time of service.
