Marguerite M. McCauley, age 89, formerly of Drumore, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community.  She was the wife of the late Robert W. "Pete" McCauley who passed away on September 29, 2010.  Born in Elkton, MD, she was the daughter of the late Herbert William and Sarah Douglas Weaver.  She was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.  Marguerite loved spending time with her family more than anything.  Surviving are 8 children; Dorothy, wife of Russell Bleecher of Strasburg, Wanda, wife of James Brock of Peach Bottom, Carolyn Drumm of Drumore, James, husband of Sharon Lenhart McCauley of Peach Bottom, John, husband of Jennifer Sheets McCauley of Drumore, Daniel, husband of Michelle Calaway McCauley of Elkton, VA, Mary, wife of Joseph Walton of Drumore, and Glen, husband of Kristen Martin McCauley of Drumore, 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers; Ronald, husband of Bertha Pugh Weaver, and Richard Weaver, both of Peach Bottom.  She was preceded in death by a son, Robert C. McCauley, a grandson Kevin C. Brock, a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Warfel, and 4 siblings, Bob Weaver, Ken Weaver, Jean Danz, and Susan Mason.

A funeral service will take place at Reynolds & Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, on Tuesday, February 6th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  Reverend Dr. Garfield Green will be officiating.  Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marguerite's honor to the Solanco Food Bank, payable to Solanco Neighborhood Ministries, 14 S. Church Street, Quarryville, PA 17566.
