Margaret A. "Peg" Dilworth

Margaret A. “Peg” Dilworth, age 88 of Christiana, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026 at her home. She was the loving wife of John N. Dilworth for 68 years. Born in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest K. and Margaret Reeder Hunter. Peg was a member at Calvary Monument Bible Church where her and John often served as greeters. She worked for WDAC in sales for 20 years and later owned her own sharpening business. Peg loved to go hunting, raising and showing pigs, cooking Sunday dinners and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband John is a daughter; Carol, wife of Craig Long of Christiana, 2 grandchildren; Jared, husband of Johanna Brown Long and Amber, wife of Stephen Criswell, both of Quarryville, 4 great-grandchildren, Claira and Phillip Long, William and Lucas Criswell, and 4 siblings; Raymond Hunter, Norman Hunter, Ernest Hunter, Jr. and Linda Marshall. She was preceded in death by 2 siblings, John Hunter and Florence Walton. Calvary Monument and their staff will be hosting a celebration of Peg’s life at the church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, on Saturday, August 1st at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chris Lenhart officiating. There will be a time to greet the family following the service with light refreshments.
