Mabel I. Pickel

Mabel I. Pickel, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community where she was a resident.  Born In Millersville, she was the daughter of the late Laren and Suzy Hess Pickel.  Mabel was a member of Byerland Mennonite Church.  She enjoyed flowers, time with her friends and she loved to serve.  In the past, she went to Arkansas to assist her cousin in a clinic, worked at Dagen's Grocery in Willow Street, Belmont Limestone, Martin's Meats, Brethren Village, and last worked at John M. Herr's Market in Millersville.  She was an only child but her cousins were her much loved siblings, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place at Byerland Mennonite Church, 931 Byerland Church Road, Willow Street, in the activities building on Saturday, March 30 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Matthew Bye officiating.  The family will greet friends at a reception following the graveside service.  Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.  reynoldsandshivery.com
