Lorna J. Spencer

Lorna J. Spencer, age 77 of Ronks, PA, passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.  She was the wife of Samuel J. Spencer with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage on June 8th.  She was born in Armstrong County, daughter of the late Everett & Margaret Jean Anderson George.  She was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church of Paradise.  She graduated from the Consolidated School of Business with an Office Associates Degree.  She worked at C & D Batteries in the production department then Lancaster Labs in accounts payable.  Even in her later stages of dementia, Lorna never let go of her love for Jesus or the color purple.  Surviving besides her husband is her favorite niece, Susan Horton of Lancaster whom she dearly loved and Susan's sons Brayden and Nicholas who were like her own grandsons, 3 siblings:  Barbara wife of Richard Coy of Graceton, PA, Larry husband of Karen George of Apollo, PA, Jacqueline wife of Randy Verner of Elderton, PA.  She was preceded in death by her brother Paul George.

Funeral service will take place from Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, PA, on Friday, November 24 at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until time of service.  Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
