Linda M. Alexander, 79, of Lancaster passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Legend of Lancaster. Linda was married to her long-time love, Robert J. Alexander for 39 years until his passing in 2008. Born in Mt. Joy, PA she was the daughter of the late Abram H. and Kathryn (Sherk) Mumma. She was a 1964 graduate of Donegal High School in Mount Joy. She was a 1967 graduate of Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia PA. She worked as a registered nurse and office administrator for a variety of doctors throughout her career. Linda was a longtime dedicated member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Quarryville, where she served in many capacities. She also enjoyed traveling via cruise ship, and spending as much time with her daughters and grandchildren as she could. She spent her free time scrapbooking and crafting with friends and family.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Holly, wife of Greg Ank of Pittsburgh, and Heather Appler of Holtwood. Her 5 grandchildren: Briana, Justin, and Gregory Ank and Robert John and Collin Curtis Appler, were her pride and joy, and she loved to spend time doting them as often as she could. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Mabel J. Stark and Betty Jean Geigley.
