Lillian F. Baugher

Lillian F. Baugher, age 101 of Manheim, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. She was the wife of the late Olen R. Baugher, who passed away on June 21, 1994. She was born in Mayland, VA, daughter of the late Austin Calvin & Sadie Rebecca Heatwole McDorman. She was a member of Peoples Baptist Church of Penn Laird, VA and Wyebrook Baptist Church of Elverson. As a teenager she worked as a mother's helper in homes of friends and relatives. She started working at the age of 16 at Bridgewater Pants Factory, then Shenandoah Equipment Company in Harrisonburg, VA, and at 17 she moved to Kansas to work as a cook at the Mennonite Children's Home. Later, moving to PA, doing housework for a time before getting married and then she started her own children's home! All while having a family of 12 children! When the children were all in school, she went back to work as a Laundry Attendant at Speedy King Laundry in Frazer, PA for 13 years. She is survived by 10 children: Alfred Baugher of Glenmoore, PA; Carolyn “Dolly” wife of Charles “Chick” Hatton of Malvern, PA; Richard Baugher of Roanoke, VA; Ronald Baugher of Malvern, PA; Nada wife of Terry Simpson of Greenville, VA; Kerry wife of Jake Bailey of Honey Brook, PA; Jerry Baugher husband of Tracie Rodkey of West Chester, PA; Lillian wife of Jim Huffman of Manheim, PA; with whom she resided, Timothy Baugher of Malvern, PA; Dennis Baugher husband of Jenn of BrookHaven, PA; 30 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, 1 sibling!: Louise Dunn of Rockingham, VA. She was preceded in death by 2 sons Olen Baugher Jr. and Keith Baugher and 11 siblings.

Funeral service will take place at Wyebrook Baptist Church, 62 New Road, Elverson, PA, on Monday, June 8th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Perry Stewart officiating. Interment will take place on Tuesday, June 9th at 1 p.m., in the Mt. Clinton Mennonite Cemetery, 6954 Mt. Clinton Pike, Harrisonburg, VA. Following the interment there will be a a light luncheon and fellowship at Peoples Baptist Church, 3523 Spotswood Trail, Penn Laird, VA.
