Lester King Smucker, age 61 of East Earl, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Hospice and Community Care of Mount Joy.  He was the husband of Mary Kathryn (Kauffman) Smucker for 40 years.  Born in Ephrata, he was the son of Sarah L. King Smucker of Narvon and the late Raymond Z. Smucker.  Lester was a member of Summitview Christian Fellowship Church.  He found fulfillment in his occupation as a taxi driver for the Amish community.  Despite his own mental and emotional struggles, he had a heart of compassion for the elderly and those with disabilities.  Surviving besides his wife are 4 children; Karen Elaine Smucker of Morgantown, L. James, husband of Esperanza Lucky Smucker of Uganda, Africa, John Andrew Smucker of East Earl and Melody Joy Smucker of Terre Hill, 2 grandsons, Leslie and Bradley and 5 siblings; Dave, husband of Becky Smucker of Narvon, Sam, husband of Laurie Smucker of Paradise, Drew, husband of Kathryn Smucker of Elverson, John husband of Kathy Smucker of Warsaw, NY, and Kathy, wife of Benji Smoker of Jamestown, TN.

A funeral service will take place at Summitview Christian Fellowship, 144 Summitville Road, New Holland, on Monday, December 1st at 1 p.m.  There will be a viewing at the church on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m.  Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.  Kindly omit flowers.
