Lester C. Jamison, 90, formerly of Little Britain Twp., PA, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 in North East, MD with his family at his side. Born in Fulton Township on April 11, 1924, he was one of 12 children born to Howard & Leta Dawson Jamison.He married his beloved wife Erma Wisler on Jan, 19, 1946.He was employed by WL Temple and later was an independent trucker working out of Cedar Hill and Maryland Materials stone quarries. He devotedly cared for his wife, Erma until her death in 2005.
Lester was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Signal Corp. He was a hardworking, multi-talented man. He and his daughter, Lesanne had a woodcraft business "Daddy, Mom & Me Crafts" for many years. He was a skilled mechanic and inspected trucks at Mar-Del Trucking until he was well into his 80's. Lester was devoted to his family and a friend to all. He never hesitated to offer help to those in need.
Lester is survived by his daughters, Catherine Null of North East, MD, Lesanne Hudson (Phil) of Elkton MD, son Lester Jamison,II (JoAnn) of Little Britain, PA,grandchildren;Holli Francisconi (Bill), Elkton, MD, Cassie Phipps. (Chris), Elkton, MD, Sean Jamison (Hannah), Patricia Jamison, Curtis (Deborah) Sheets, and Craig (Keston) Sheets; Great-grandchildren, Rocky Francisconi, Tara Phills, Curtis Sheets, Jr and Colton Sheets. He is also survived by his sister, Gyla Fuller of Oxford, PA.
