Leroy D. Hopkins

Leroy D. Hopkins, age 76 of Quarryville, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Southeastern Veteran Center. he was the husband of Darlene Brevard Hopkins. He was born in Lancaster son of the late Leroy C. and Bertha E. Thompson Hopkins. Leroy proudly served in the United States Marines where he was a 2 time Purple Heart recipient and also was a State Trooper for 25 years, retiring from Troop J in Avondale. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles and he loved Corvettes. Surviving besides his wife are 3 sons: Anthony, Jayson, and Eric Hopkins, all of Quarryville. He is also survived by a brother Levi Hopkins of Willow Street. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Shirley Harris and Wanda Warren.

Funeral service will take place from Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East Street, Quarryville, on Wednesday, April 30th at 11 a.m with a viewing from 10 a.m until time of service. Interment will take place at Conestoga Memorial Park following the service.
