Lenora M. "Herbie" Watson, age 83 of Paradise, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the Lancaster General Hospital.  She was the wife of the late John S. "Mick" Watson for 57 years before his passing on February 29, 2020.  Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late William and Hazel Mae Wallace Tillman.  She was a member of Christiana United Methodist Church where she formerly taught Sunday school.  She worked for Exide Battery Company for over 20 years.  In her free time, Herbie loved going on walks and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Surviving are 2 children; Monica A., wife of Timothy Fuller, and John C., husband of June Kurtz Watson, both of Paradise, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 5 siblings; Kay Meyers of Parkesburg, Hazel "BI" Burkman of Lancaster, William "Bill" Tillman of Mohnton, Edna "Bubble" Oatman of Lancaster, and Virginia "Ginny" Walton of Chambersburg.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Selene Watson, granddaughter, Cayla Fuller Russum, and 3 siblings, Walter Tillman, Mary Hoover, and Grace Stoltzfus.  A graveside service will take place at Georgetown United Methodist Cemetery, 1070 Georgetown Road, Paradise, on Monday, September 18th at 4 p.m. with Pastor Linda Harnish officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shivery Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA 17509.
