Lelia M. Groff

Lelia M. Groff, age 85, of Springville Road, Quarryville, PA died Monday, January 4, 2016 at Conestoga View, Lancaster, PA following a brief illness.She was the widow of Lloyd F. Groff who died August 4, 2005.Born in Drumore Township, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Mary Bertha Irvin Rhoads.
A life-long farmers wife, she also was employed as a cook for Harvest Drive. Her hobbies were cooking and knitting.
Surviving her are 8 children, Mary E. wife of C. Michael Aument, William P. husband of Darlene Groff, Linda Sue wife of Paul D. Rudy, Judy wife of Dale H. Landis, Debbie wife of Rick Shepler, Lloyd F. Jr. husband of Judy Groff, Sharon L. wife of David G. Rineer, Trudy Groff; a foster son George Bishop; 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren 2 step great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 2 sisters, Florence Weir, Hazel Schroeder; 2 brothers, Benjamin Rhoads, and Lester Rhoads.
Lelia was preceded in death by her siblings, Julia Strubel, Bertha Morningstar, Miriam Binkley, Irene Tangert, and Thelma Stapler.
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11:00AM.Interment will follow in Middle Octorara Presbyterian Cemetery.Viewings will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:30-8:30PM and again on Thursday from 10:00AM until the time of service.
