Lauretta Gardner Towner, 85, formerly of Nottingham, PA, passed away on May 23, 2015 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA. She was the widow of Jerry V. Towner who passed away in 1991.
Lauretta had been a seamstress, specializing in making doll clothing at the Shader Co, Newark, DE.
Born in Delaware County PA, a daughter of the late Frederick A. and Laura May Reese Gardner.
She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Thornton, PA.She was also a member of Little Britain Homemakers, Oxford Bowling League, Octorara Art Assn., and was an avid artist.
She is survived by 4 children: Mary Jean Simpson,Sara Ann Davis,Frank Towner,Andrew Towner, 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and her sister Mary VanHorn.
A memorial service will be held at Living Stones Fellowship Church, 2292 Robert Fulton Highway, Peach Bottom, PA on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM.Visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM.Private burial will be in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery.Arrangements entrusted to Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc.
