Larry Kuhn

Larry Kuhn, 79, of Robinson Avenue, Coatesville, PA was called home and died unexpectedly of natural causes at Brandywine Hospital on Monday, August 9, 2021.  He was the husband of Donna L. Ogden Kuhn.  Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Melvin and Ethel Herr Kuhn.

Larry was a graduate of Scott High school and a lifetime member of Olivet United Methodist Church, Coatesville.

He had been employed by Lukens Steel as a production control coordinator, GE Areospace, and JC Penny.  But the job he loved the most was when he owned and operated his own business, Larry's Fountain Inn Ice Cream Parlor in Parkesburg. He was well known and loved both in the store and out by the community.  He found the funny in any situation, he lit up the room.  He loved his wife and children well and would do anything for anyone. To some he was known as the Candy man and others a devout family man.

Surviving him beside his wife Donna are three children, Tammy (Andrew) Arcaro of Honey Brook, Larry H. Kuhn, Jr of Coatesville, Amanda (Steve) Bitte of Bartlett, IL; three grandchildren, Anthony and Annamarie Arcaro, Theo Bitte; and a brother Kenneth Carlin Kuhn of West Chester.

A celebration of Larry's life will be held at Chantry Place, 15 North Bridge Street, Christiana, PA on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 2:30PM with Pastor Dan Wagner officiating.  An informal luncheon will follow of which all are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his honor. They may be forwarded to Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA 17509.
