Larry Lee Hertzog Sr., age 80 of Quarryville, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at the Mt. Joy Hospice Center. He was the husband of Nancy J. Sheaffer Hertzog, to whom he was married for 56 years. He was born in Lancaster, son of the late Henry and Dorothy Gockley Hertzog. He loved spending time with his family.  He enjoyed driving around the Amish community in Lancaster and York Counties.  He had a passion for fishing and hunting.  Surviving besides his wife is 4 children: Larry Jr, husband of Susan Hertzog of Lancaster, James husband of Rachel Hertzog of Lancaster, Kevin Hertzog of York, and Becky Minnick, companion of Shaun Casagrande of Lancaster, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchild and 2 brothers: Steve husband of Debbie Hertzog of Lancaster, and Dennis husband of Dolores Hertzog of Lititz. He is preceded in death by 7 siblings: Betty, Faye, Fern, Ronald, Titus, Glenn, and Dave, and a nephew, Ronald Hertzog Jr.  The Hertzog family is hosting a time for relatives and friends to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 2nd from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.at the Quarryville VFW, 1653 Holtwood Road, Holtwood PA 17532.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County.  The family would like to thank Hospice of Lancaster for caring for Larry during the last days of his life.
