Kenneth R. Murphy

Kenneth R. Murphy, 81, formerly of Valley Road, Quarryville, died Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Harrison Senior Living, Christiana, PA.He and his wife Virginia S. Murphy were married for 28 years.Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Robert and Eunice Girvin Murphy, Sr.
Ken's love of farming was exhibited in making it his lifelong career on the home farm in Bart Township.
He was a member of New Providence Mennonite Church where he attended weekly pray meeting.
He enjoyed traveling, NASCAR, and going out for dinner. An avid train enthusiast, he was a member of the National Railroad Society.
Funeral Services will be held at New Providence Mennonite Church, 121 Main Street, New Providence, PA on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11:00AM with Pastor William Higgins officiating.Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.Viewings will be held at the church on Sunday from 6:00PM-8:00PM and again on Monday from 10:00AM until the time of service.Please omit flowers!!!Contributions may be made in Ken's memory to New Providence Mennonite Church, 121 Main Street, New Providence, PA 17560.
