Kenneth L. Groff, age 89, of Calvin PA, formerly of Gap, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. He was the husband of Nancy Brubaker Groff for 66 years. Born in Christiana, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth Livingston Groff. Ken graduated from Scott High School, Class of 1954. He proudly served his country in the Army and was stationed in Berlin, Germany when the Wall went up, and was on high alert during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a Brother of Christiana Masonic Lodge #417 and member of the Christiana American Legion. A Tool & Diemaker and electronics specialist with RCA for many years, he was precise and exact with measured tolerances. He was a member of Bellevue Presbyterian Church in Gap, and Beavertown COG in Todd. Baseball was his passion, encouraging his recovery from polio as a child, "Ice-Wagon" earned a tryout for the Philly A's pro team. He led the Salisbury Twp. Athletic Association and coached youth baseball for many years. Ken was an avid lifetime bowler, setting pins at the Christiana bowling alley as a child to earn spending money, bowling with the US Army team and in tournaments around the world, and most recently in the Huntingdon church league. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons: Brad (Kerstin), Brett (Anita), grandchildren Kaya, Ben and Stephanie, and great-grandchildren Parker, Brynn, Emma and Owen.

A graveside service will take place from Sadsbury Friends Burial Grounds, 1089 Simmontown Rd. Gap PA, 17527 on Friday, January 16th at 2 PM, also including military honors presented by Red Rose Honor Guard and a masonic service performed by Christiana Masonic Lodge.
