Kenneth R. Findley

Kenneth R. Findley, age 71 of Holtwood, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at his home.  He was the husband of the late Kathryn A. Kipphorn Findley who passed away on September 29, 2021.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Mary Jane Rineer Smith of Holtwood and the late Richard G. Smith.  Ken attended Bethesda United Methodist Church in Holtwood.  He worked as a dairy farmer and later co-owned K&K Findley Transport with his wife Kathryn, hauling livestock and providing transportation for Amish.  He enjoyed buying Ayrshire cows, hunting and traveling to see the Elk herd in Northern PA.  Surviving are 3 sons; Steve, husband of Angie Hess Findley of Quarryville, Rick, companion of Jen Hess of New Providence, James "Jake" husband of Crystal Glass Findley of New Providence, a daughter; Tanya, wife of Edward Burrell of Peach Bottom, 12 grandchildren; Lane husband of Trish, Lexi wife of Jeremy, Dillon, Lauren, Taylor, Dalton, Bob, Ashton, Matthew, Destiny, Kennedy, Spencer, 8 great-grandchildren, and 7 siblings; Coleen, wife of Joe Neff of Mt. Nebo, Mike Smith of Holtwood, Lisa Smith of Rawlinsville, Jamie Smith of MD, Fred, husband of Carrie Smith of Holtwood, Eddie, husband of Josie Findley of State College, and Nicki, wife of Ed Crowley of Mt. Nebo.  The family will be organizing a drop in visitation at the Robert Fulton Fire Hall, 2271 Robert Fulton Highway, Peach Bottom, on Wednesday, October 9th from 4 to 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ken's honor to the Solanco FFA, 585 Solanco Road, Quarryville.
