Katrina Faith Gibson

Katrina Faith Gibson, 24, of York, was unexpectedly called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 2, 2017 at York Hospital.Currently, her death was due to unknown natural causes.
Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of Robin Childs, wife of Doug Childs, and Donald E. Gibson, Jr., fiance of Jennifer Kilgore.
Having graduated from Solanco High School, she worked in logistics with BPD International.
She is survived by her loving fiance, Cameron J. Grill; her brothers, Jeremy, husband of Caitlin (Lizotte) Gibson, and Matthew, fiance of Keri Erb; her sister, Andrea, and her step-sister, Abigail Kilgore; her maternal grandmother,Sonja Tressler; maternal great grandmother, Essie Prillaman, her paternal great-grandmother, Betty Gibson; paternal grandfather, Donald E. Gibson, Sr.; her aunt, Jackie Thompson, wife of Bill Mix; her uncle, Lonnie Gibson, husband of Ashley Gibson; her cousins, Chandler and Mason Gibson; great aunts and uncles.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Joyce Lesley, wife of the late Hugh Lesley, and her maternal grandfather, Wilson Prillaman.
Katrina courageously conquered her battle with cancer at 17 years old, and became an inspiration to us all throughout her life.We will all miss her honest and fun-loving wit and feisty personality.Katrina enjoyed nothing more than beating her brothers at video games, shopping with her mother and sister, and making those around her feel at home.Some of her favorite past times, were spent enjoying the delicasies at Sugar Plum and Tea in Lancaster. She will always be held dearly in our hearts and forever loved in our memories.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, June 9, 2017 at Mill Creek Bible Church, 270 Strasburg Pike, Lancaster, PA.with Pastor R. Blake Diebler officiating. A viewing will follow the service from 12:00Noon until 5:00PM. Friends and relatives are also welcome to spend time with the family immediately following the service.Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katrina's memory to the Four Diamonds Fund, 1249 Cocoa Ave, Suite 115, Hershey, PA 17033, to aid in the fight against pediatric cancer.
