Karl F. Schubert

Karl F. Schubert, 82, of Kirkwood, PA passed away at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

He and his wife Judith Miller Schubert celebrated 60 years of marriage in May.  Born in New York City, he was the son of his late mother Keturah Sellers Schubert and late stepfather Herbert Clavier.

Karl was a self-employed welder.

He was a member of Oxford Lodge #353 Free and Accepted Masons and the NRA.

A proud veteran, Karl served in the US Marine Corp where he attained the rank of Corporal during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed hunting, farming, western movies, and carving scrimshaw on powder horns.

Surviving beside his wife are two children, Wayne F. Schubert of Christiana and Kim Y. Martin of Palmyra; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Reynolds & Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM with Pastor R. Blake Deibler officiating.  Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  There will also be a Masonic service beginning at 10:45 a.m.
