Karen E. Harnish

Karen E. Harnish, 56, went home to be with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, at home on August 18, 2025. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John A. Harnish and Miriam Groff Harnish.

Karen was a member of Stumptown Mennonite Church, a graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg High School and worked at Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant.

We thank the Purple Team staff at Hospice & Community Care for lovingly caring for Karen over the past 18 months. God bless all of you for your compassion and care.

Surviving is her mother, 2 siblings: Kenneth married to Jodene and Kathy married to Don Esh, 5 nieces, 1 nephew and 1 great-niece.

A private internment will be held at Byerland Mennonite Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
