Judy A. Landis

Judy A. Landis (Groff) 69, of Quarryville passed away peacefully at home on Thursday March 21st, 2024.  She was a loving wife of 48 years to Dale H Landis. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd & Lelia Rhoads Groff.  She was the Mother of Cory Landis, wife Sarah (Fischer) Quarryville & Kevin Landis, wife Erin (Zerbe) Strasburg. She had 6 grandchildren whom were her whole world, Ashtyn, Cailey, Celsey, Dayton, Chase, & Jordyn.  Judy was a 28 year long employee at Clark inc. She also waitressed at multiple local restaurants in her earlier years. She was a member of Calvary monument Bible Church of Paradise PA. Judy was also a member of the Farm Women Society #35. She served as an auditor for Eden township. She served in so many ways for so many people. She's known for her baking. Especially her amazing pies & cookies. She had a true green thumb & had a passion for gardening & all things plants. She loved her family fiercely & was a true matriarch of her family. She loved traveling & visiting new places. Judy enjoyed time at their cabin in Tioga County PA. She enjoyed going out & trying new restaurants that her & her husband Dale would do most Saturday nights with her Sister & best friend Linda & husband Paul which they called their "Saturday Night Club".   She was the sister to Mary Steffy (Rick), Linda Rudy (Paul), Debra Sheplar (Rick), Lloyd Groff (Judy), Sharon Rineer (David), & Trudy Groff. Also proceeding her in death is a brother William Groff & foster brother George Bishop. Judy also had many nieces & nephews whom which she loved dearly.  A funeral service will be held at Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, on Wednesday, March 27th at 11 a.m. with a visitation time from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  Pastor Chris Lenhart will be officiating.  There will also be a visitation time at the church on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.  Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Judy to Brandywine River Valley Hospice 1011 W.
