March 7, 1946 – July 24, 2024
Judith Lane Slaymaker, age 78 of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of Carl E. Slaymaker. She was the daughter of the late J. William and Bernice Lane Miller of Gordonville. She graduated from Pequea Valley High School, class of 1964 and from Goldey-Beacom Collage class of 1966. Judy retired from CNH, formally Sperry New Holland, after 32 years of service. She enjoyed lunch with her girlfriends, reading, and volunteering as a clown for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Most of all, she loved her dogs, adored her grandchildren and the love of her life, her 3 year old great grandson, Mason. Surviving besides her husband is her son, Troy husband of Lisa St. John Slaymaker of Neffsville, 2 granddaughters: Tara wife of Dennis Gaul of Ephrata, Amanda Slaymaker of Neffsville, great grandson, Mason, a niece, Stephanie wife of John Zimmerman of Palmetto, FL and a sister-in-law Dorothy Ann Miller Morgan Brown of Klingerstown, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Miller.
Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Judy's name to: American Heart Association, Leo's Helping Paws, 1284 Wheatland Ave, Lancaster PA, 17603, Children's Miracle Network, or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
