Joshua R. Bedford, age 35, of Peach Bottom, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Sheri L. Hitchens Bedford and the godson of the late Bob and Diana Stallings who raised him and had a huge impact in his life. He attended Pequea Church. Joshua loved the outdoors, camping, and the mountains of North Carolina. He was a devoted and dedicated father who enjoyed spending time with his children. He had the biggest heart and treated everyone like a cherished family member where friends were brothers and no one was left out. His infectious laugh will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of meeting him.

Joshua will be dearly missed by his fiancée Erikka J. Veruete with whom he resided, 3 children Ayden, Arie, and Elle Bedford, 2 step-children Scarlette McNee and Piper Veruete, and his cherished and eagerly anticipated baby due in October. He is also survived by brothers Richard Bedford, Todd Stallings, Mark husband of Connie Stallings all of Lancaster, Christopher husband of Christine Stallings of Marietta, and a nephew Stephen Bedford.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 1, at 2 p.m. at Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville with Pastor Jesse Bills officiating. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service. Following the service, there will be a celebration of Joshua's life at the SECA park pavilion with refreshments provided by his friend/brothers. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
