Joseph P. Phipps

Joseph P. Phipps, Jr. 81, of South Belmont Road, Paradise, PA died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at his residence.He was the husband of Mary E. Groff Phipps.Born and raised in Northeast TN, he was the son of the late Joseph P. and Virginia Marley Phipps.He came to PA for adventure and work, where he met the love of his life and decided to make it his home.
Joe had been a foundry worker for Penn Malleable, and later worked with his son in the masonry business.
As an adult, Joe fulfilled his lifetime dream of having and caring for his own horses.He was an avid and accomplished roller-skater.
Surviving beside his wife Mary is a son, Joseph W. Phipps and his companion Renee Brennan; 2 grandsons, Josh (Karli) Phipps, Joel (Kristen) Phipps; a great grandson Christopher Smiley; and a brother James (Rachael) Phipps of TN.
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.Visitations will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 6:30-8:00 PM., and Tuesday from 10-11:00 A.M.
