Joseph S. King, Jr., age 63, formerly of Cochranville, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Newport Meadows, Christiana.  He was the husband of Kimberly Haught King for over 30 years.  Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Catharine Scheffel King.  Joe was of the Christian Faith.  He enjoyed driving and did so for Cochranville Block Plant, Glen Run Framers and he provided transportation for the Amish Community.  He had a big heart and loved the staff at Newport Meadows.  He also loved his poodles, farming, and calling bingo for the Cochranville Fire Company Carnival.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Holly S. fiancée of Joseph Gaglio of Cochranville and 5 sisters: Gwendolyn wife of Dain Null of Cochranville, Yvonne wife of Zachary Mullins of VA, Wanda wife of Douglas Lapp of Cochranville, Jewell wife of Steven Shivery of Christiana, Theresa wife of David Foltz of Downingtown.

There will be a viewing at the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana on Sunday, December 8 at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m.  Pastor Scott Althouse will be officiating.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.  shiveryfuneralhome.com
