Jonas F. Kauffman, age 101, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Lincoln Christian Home. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth F. Beiler who he married on November 16, 1948. He was born in Leacock Township, son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Kauffman Kauffman. Jonas loved praying and reading his bible. He volunteered at Christian aid ministries. Jonas and Elizabeth enjoyed spending winters in Florida for almost 40 years. He worked at H M Stauffer and Family Cupboard. Surviving are three children: Sue, wife of Ralph Miller of Daleville, Virginia, Melvin, J. husband of Esther, A. Kauffman of Lancaster, Jane wife of Nathan Kauffman of Mount Pleasent, PA, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mary Lantz late wife of Benjamin Lantz of Gap. He was preceded in death by a son Elmer, late husband of Janette Kauffman of New York, two sisters: Fannie, late wife of Emanuel Flaud of Kinzers and Katie Riehl, and a brother, Jacob Kauffman.

Funeral service will take place from Weavertown Amish Mennonite Church, 2900 Church Road, Bird In Hand, on Saturday, May 4th at 10 AM with a viewing from 9 to 9:45 AM. There will also be a viewing on Friday, May 3rd from 5 to 8 PM. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The family would like the thank the staff at Lincoln Christian Homes for the wonderful care of their father.
