John R. Wise II, age 75 of Honey Brook, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at his home. He was the husband of Linda Gessner Wise with whom he celebrated 45 years of marriage. He was born in Lebanon, son of the late John R. and Verna Keath Wise. He proudly served in the Pennsylvania Army National Gaurd for 30 years. John was an avid archery hunter, and he played and loved ice hockey. Surviving besides his wife are 4 sons: John R. III "JR" husband of Melissa Wise of New Jersey, Bradley A. husband of Crystal Wise of New Holland, B.J. husband of Susan Wise of Kinzers, Grant C. Wise of Honey Brook, 7 grandchildren: Trevor, Parker, Tanner, Autumn, Emma, Rebekah, Gracelyn, and 6 siblings: Michael husband of Karen Wise, Linda wife of William Reigle, Susan wife of Gerry Keim, Sally wife of Doug Harter, Ed husband of Patti, and Bob husband of Beth Wise, all of Lebanon. Funeral service will take place from the First Baptist Church of Pequea, 6062 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap, PA 17527, on Friday, January 3rd at 11 am with a viewing from 10 am until time of service. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
