John S. Sgro

John S. Sgro, age 83, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024.  He was born in Philadelphia on December 11, 1940.  Son of the late John & Mary Yurchak Sgro.  He was the beloved husband of Eleanor M. Stahl Sgro.  Also surviving is a sister Suzanne wife of Robert Parkinson, two sister in laws: Mary wife of Bill Bandoch and Barbara wife of Phil Barbagallo.  Much loved by his nieces and nephews: Denise, Lisa, William, Joyce, Philip, David and Jeffrey.  He was a man who loved and played hard.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman and then tried real hard as a golfer and certainly no one will ever forget the pig roasts and Irish Mist.

Please join us to say goodbye on Friday, June 21st, with a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. at the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA. There will be a time to greet the family from 10 a.m. until time of service.
