John R. Esch, age 82, of 278 Truce Road, New Providence, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. He was the husband of the late Lydia L. Zook Esch. He was born in Lancaster son of the late, Elam M. and Lydia Stoltzfus Esch. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He is survived by 6 children: Daniel R., husband of Rachel Miller Esch of Fennimore, WI, Elam J., husband of Rachel Miller Esch, Mervin B., husband of Rachel Miller Esch, Jesse B., husband of Elizabeth Beiler Esch, Leon B., husband of Mary Esh Esch, all of New Providence, Nancy B., wife of the late Jonas F. Stoltzfus of Wayne County, IN, 44 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and 5 siblings: Elam M. Jr. husband of Mary Zook Esch, Sarah S. Esch, Mary S. Esch, Nancy S. Esch all of Lancaster, and Barbara wife of Gideon Fisher of Newburg, PA. He was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Jonas Esch, Jacob Esch late husband of the late Salome late wife of Benuel Esh of Peach Bottom, Abner Esch late husband of Lydia Beiler Esch of Bird In Hand, Leroy Esch, Rebecca Ebersol late wife of Jacob Ebersol of Peach Bottom, and Lavina Esh late wife of Jacob Esh of Howard, PA.
