John S. Landis

John S. Landis, age 85 of Quarryville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.  He was the husband of Sharon Stonesifer Landis with whom he would have celebrated 56 years of marriage on January 9th.  Born in Quarryville, he was the son of the late Morris and Ella Snyder Landis.  He was a member of Memorial Untied Methodist Church.  He graduated from Solanco High School.  In his free time, John loved motorcycle riding, hunting, and fishing.  Surviving besides his wife is a son: Michael husband of Melissa Landis of Quarryville, and 3 grandchildren: Alisa Landis and Madison and Mackenzie Landis.  He was preceded in death by a son: Daniel John Landis late husband of Amy Landis of York County.  A private graveside service will take place in the Quarryville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's honor to the Solanco Food Bank, payable to Solanco Neighborhood Ministries, 355 Buck Road, Quarryville, PA 17566.
