John G. Beck

John G. Beck, age 92, of Christiana, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at home.  He was the husband of Alice Naylor Beck, just celebrating 72 years of marriage the day before he died.  Born in Northumberland, PA, he was the son of the late William Ralph and Margaret Specht Beck.  John served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He worked for PP&L for 43 years, retiring in 1994.  He was a life member of Christiana Fire Company and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.  In additional to his wife, he is survived by a son, James M. Beck of Christiana and a granddaughter Johnna Menke wife of Chris Ocampo.  He was preceded in death by 2 children: John D. Beck and Julia Menke.

There will be a funeral service at Chantry Place, 15 North Bridge Street, Christiana on Friday, June 6 at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10 a.m. until time of service.   Private interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christiana Fire Company, P.O. Box 46, Christiana, PA 17509.
