My name is John Edward Baxter, II. I was born a country boy in Lancaster County, PA to the late John E. and Betty R. Baum Baxter on January 30, 1951. I passed away on June 17, 2015 after a long hard battle with cancer.
I served my country honorably for six years during the Vietnam Conflict in the US Army as a Medical Corpsman 1st class, achieving the rank of sergeant.
I worked for Identicard Systems Incorporated for 15 years, and then retired from PDQ Industries after 8.5 years.
I was an avid outdoorsman. I loved hunting the wily white-tailed deer.I successfully bagged 53 deer in my lifetime, as well as one black bear.I also enjoyed playing golf and bowling.
Enough about me; let me talk about my family.I consider myself to be the luckiest man on earth to have been married for 27 years to the most wonderful, loving, caring, sweetest, giving woman, my wife Frances Ann Baxter. We were blessed with two wonderful daughters, Laura K. and Ashley M. I was also blessed with a beautiful granddaughter, Peyton M.
I am survived by sisters, Joyce M. Overly, Tanya M. Stauffer, and Betty K. Baxter, as well as a brother Brian M. Baxter; and by several nieces and nephews.
I am preceded in death by three brothers, David, Roger, and Patrick, and one sister Susan.
Now I bid you all a very fond farewell, and wish all of you a wonderful and successful adventure through life.
