JoAnne Campbell Hershey, age 80, left the constraints of time and entered eternity on Monday, November 25, 2024.  Born on November 6, 1944 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Paul H. & Alma Burkholder Campbell.  She was the wife of the late J. Kenneth Hershey who passed away on May 29, 2024.  She was a member of Mechanic Grove Mennonite Church.

JoAnne was a graduate of Lancaster Mennonite High School, St. Joseph Paramedic Institute and attended West Chester University.  She was trained as a Medical Lab Technician at Lancaster General Hospital.  She and her husband operated the Hershey Family Farm in Salisbury Twp. for 25 years.  She returned to work at St. Joseph Hospital Laboratory and Blood Bank.  She became an EMT and then started training as a Paramedic.  She worked in the Emergency Room of the Community Hospital of Lancaster and on the Advanced Life Support Unit, Medic 3 and LEMSA for the Lancaster EMS.  She loved to teach and taught EMT classes for EHSF and HACC, also teaching CPR, Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Life Support for the American Heart Association.  She also taught classes on Safe and Healthy Living through her business "Pathway To Wellness.  She enjoyed crocheting, singing and playing the piano.

Surviving are 3 children: Regina wife of Patrick Hartsfield of Charlottesville, VA, Steven husband of Jennifer Ulrich Hershey of Quarryville, Jenelle "Jenny" wife of Roy Gerlach of Strasburg, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister Doris wife of Clyde Deiter of Quarryville.  She was preceded in death by a grandson and 2 infant brothers.

Funeral service will take place from the Hershey Mennonite Church, 401 Hershey Church Road, Kinzers, PA, on Friday, December 6th at 11 a.m.  Pastor Wayne Kreider will be officiating.  There will be a viewing time on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.  Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
