Joanne Cole

Joanne R Cole, age 83, of Refton, PA passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late James H. Cole. Born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of Ellsworth and Helen McComsey Rohrer. She was a member of Refton Brethren in Christ Church. She graduated from Millersville University with a master’s degree in education. She was an elementary school teacher for Solanco School District.

She is survived by her two children: James (Tatiana) Cole of Virginia, and Lynn E. Frank, wife of the late Jacob Frank, 4 grandchildren: Eain Cole, Amanda Hostetter, Dean Frank, Owen Frank, 7 great grandchildren and a sister, Peggy (Ronald) Heckel of Holtwood.

A graveside service will take place from Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Hwy Quarryville, PA 17566 on Friday, October 30, 2026 at 1 p.m.
