Joan F. Raftovich, 78, of Crystal Drive, Holtwood PA, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 9, 2015.She was the wife of the late Bernard E. Raftovich who died October 23, 2004.
Born in Chester PA, she was a daughter of the late George J. and Catharine M. Freimuth Spanier.
A homemaker, she enjoyed reading, going to the beach, but her family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her greatest joy.
Surviving her are 4 daughters, Linda J. (Gary R.) Shreinerof Lancaster, Diane C. (Scott) Schrader of Hummelstown, Susan (Scott) McClune of Holtwood, Nancy A. (Tyler) Turner of Holtwood; 11 grandchildren, Hollee Kolk, Scott McClune, Michael Ressler, Stacia McComsey, Gregory Shreiner, Shaina Henry, Tyler Turner, Tony Turner, Jackie, Emily and Anna Schrader; 9 great grandchildren; a brother Joseph (Mary) Spanier of Harrisburg.
Joan was preceded in death by 3 siblings, George Spanier, Anne Spanier, and Catharine Smagala.
A viewing will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 1:00PM-3:00PM.Interment will be private in Quarryville Cemetery.
