Joan K. Groff

Joan K. Groff, age 79 of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. She was married to Bruce Groff for 50 years. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Roy J. Sr. and Eleanor Lynn Kauffman. She was a life member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church where she was very involved. She enjoyed baking, sewing, traveling and most of all she adored her 3 grandsons. She is survived by a son, Ryan E. husband of Denean Groff of Strasburg, 3 grandsons: Austin, Jack, and Sam, and 6 siblings: Jean Geesey of Lancaster, Janet wife of Spencer Speros of Lancaster, Bob Kauffman of East Petersburg, Ron husband of Sara Kauffman of Holtwood, Judy wife of Norm Henry of Drumore, and Polly Kauffman of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy J. "Jim" Kauffman Jr.

Funeral service will take place from Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, 1068 Chestnut Level Road, Quarryville, on Thursday, April 18th at 11 a.m. with a time to greet the family from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Pastor John Hartman will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church or to Grane Home Health & Hospice.
