Joan M. Bills

Joan M. Bills, age 67, of Kinzers, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.  She was the wife of Robert L. Bills with whom she celebrated 47 years of marriage on October 16th.  She was born in Lancaster, daughter of A. Grace Geyer Parmer of Kinzers and the late P. Robert Parmer.  She graduated from Pequea Valley High School class of 1974 and then Lancaster County Vo-Tech in 1976.  Joan worked at the Paradise Elementary School as a teachers aid then working in the office of John Backoff Dentistry and also assisted her husband in business at J.D. Kauffman Machine Shop.  Joan loved the Phillies, Villanova Mens Basketball, NASCAR and most of all enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events.  Surviving besides her husband and mother are two children: Nicole wife of David Hodges of Fredericksburg, VA, Adam husband of Nichole Stoltzfus Bills of Paradise, 3 grandchildren: Meredith, Lila & Avery Hodges, brother Robert husband of Lorraine Higgins Parmer of Mountain City, TN.

A memorial service will take place at the Shivery Funeral Home, 3214 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise on Wednesday, June 26th, at 7 p.m. with a time to greet the family from 6 p.m. until time of service.  Interment will take place in the St. John's Methodist Cemetery.
