Jerry D. Kindig, age 71 of Lancaster, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 30, 2024.  He was the loving husband of Cheryl A. Alexander Kindig with whom he celebrated 38 years of marriage on June 30th.  He was born in York, son of Nancy Folkenroth Kindig of York and the late Hiram Kindig.  He was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church of Lancaster, where in the past he was in the choir, Sunday School Teacher and involved with the Junior Bible Quizzing.  He graduated from Overbrook School for the Blind of Philadelphia and Moody Bible Institute.  Jerry worked for Vision Corp of Lancaster in the Industrial Division, retiring in 2018.  Surviving besides his wife and mother are 5 siblings:  Rusty husband of Tracey Kindig of York, Darlene Mundy of York, Donna Kindig of York, Lou Ann Keezel of Dover, PA, Diana wife of Joe Schwartz of York Haven, PA, a half-brother Kevin, husband of Darlene Rohrbaugh of Canon City, CO, and many nieces and nephews also survive.  He was preceded in death by a sister Denise Kindig.

A celebration of life service will take place from the New Life Assembly of God Church, 1991 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, PA, on Wednesday, April 3rd at 11 a.m., with Pastor C. Ronald Bradley officiating.  Interment will take place in the Conestoga Memorial Park.  There will be a viewing at the church on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the New Life Assembly of God Church.
