Jean Groff, age 74, of Gap, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, January 18, 2025. She was the wife of Ronald Groff for 57 years. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ruth Solomon McGrane. Jean drove bus number 17 for Pequea Valley for 46 years. A highlight of her career was driving the Pequea Valley boys' basketball team. Jean's greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and teaching her loved ones how to cook her special recipes.  She enjoyed watching stock car racing and NASCAR. Jean had a love for country music and country line dancing. Jean loved to spend her time at Bethany Beach, making memories with her family.

Surviving besides her husband are 3 children: Joann, wife of John Dickel of Gap, Ronald Jr. husband of Jodie Sears Groff of Gap, and Nicole Groff, fiancée of Zachary Hildebrand of Narvon; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Francis R. McGrane, husband of Sandy Brown McGrane of Gap and Thomas M. McGrane husband of Lori Diem McGrane of Gap.
