Jayne Barbara McVey, 81 of Leola, PA, left this world and joined her Lord and Savior on November 5, 2026. Jayne was born on May, 16, 1945 to the late Mason and Dorothy Welk Druck (Quarryville). She worked many jobs throughout her life, mainly as a retail manager, but most recently enjoyed her time providing transportation to the Amish community. She went by many names in her family; Jayne, mom, sis, gamon, great gamon and SPORT. Jayne was a bright light full of sincere genuine compassion, thoughtfulness, understanding, fun, laughter and most importantly unconditional love. This was evident to all who knew her and to those who just happened to meet her. She was always there for her family and friends. Jayne is survived by her three children, Duane Mendenhall of Alaska, Amy Mendenhall of Lititz, Chad Mendenhall (wife Tracy) of Mt. Joy; sister, Sheila Druck of Lancaster, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and companion, Brian Floyd of Leola.
Jayne’s family will be hosting a celebration of her life at Georgetown United Methodist Church, 1070 Georgetown Road, Bart, PA, on Friday, November 13th at 2 p.m. with a time to greet the family from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Mike Sigman will be officiating. A private interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jayne’s honor to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125 Lancaster, PA 17604 or to Georgetown United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 76, Bart, PA 17503.
