Jay R. Strubel

Jay R. Strubel, age 86 of Soudersburg, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. He was born in Soudersburg, son of the late Ezra and Fern Russell Strubel. Jay proudly served in the United States Army. Jay worked at Dynamic Masonry and also D&M Builders retiring in 2016. He enjoyed traveling, train watching and model trains. He was a lifetime member of the National Railway Historical Society. He also served over 30 years with the Ronk's Fire Police. He is survived by 5 siblings: Darlene Strubel of Lancaster, Bonnie wife of the late Clarence Lefever of Strasburg, George (Wayne) Strubel of Soudersburg, Nelson Strubel of Christiana, and Cheryl wife of Jim Whitehead of Paradise. Numerous nephews, great nephews and a niece survive. He was preceded in death by 4 siblings: Ronald, Marlene, Gary late husband of Linda "Lynn" Rineer Strubel of Lancaster and D. Edward late husband of Patricia Bowers Strubel of Ronks. Funeral Service will take place from St. John's United Methodist Church, 3001 Lincoln Hwy East, Gordonville, PA 17562, on Wednesday, November 27th at 11 a.m. There will be a greeting time from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jay's honor to St. John's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 86, Paradise, PA 17562.
